Scotts Head is an idyllic seaside village located on the NSW Mid-North Coast. Whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, there are plenty of things to see and do around Scotts Head Holiday Park.
Fishing in Scotts Head
Little Beach is a beautiful, secluded cove located on the southern end of Scotts Head. It's a great spot for fishing, as there are plenty of rocks and ledges where you can cast your line.
If you need a break from the waves, you can turn inland and head to Warrell Creek to have a chance at bream, whiting, flathead and mulloway. The river is quiet and surrounded by woodland, making for a great boating or kayaking trip north up to Nambucca Heads.
Take advantage of the Holiday Park facilities
The Scotts Head Holiday Park is a popular holiday destination for good reason. The park is neighbouring the southern end of Forster Beach and the remote Little Beach. The park itself features cabins and powered sites, so you can either relax in a fully equipped luxury cabin or set up your own caravan or tent. Either way, the park gives you access to shower facilities, plenty of picnic tables in covered eating areas, free sheltered BBQ facilities, and other recreational amenities.
Grassy Head
A 10-minute drive south of Scotts Head is one of the coast's hidden gems. Grassy Head is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, and unspoiled natural beauty. Grassy Beach is a popular spot for swimming, surfing, fishing, and sunbathing. There are tracks along the headlands surrounding Grassy Heads that provide excellent views of the beaches to the north and south.
The beaches around Scotts Head are patrolled during the summer holidays, and over the weekends between October and Easter.
There are certain access locations for vehicles along the beach, but you do require a permit to drive on it. There are two options for permits: A 2-week tourist permit, and an annual pass. These can be picked up from the Nambucca Valley Visitor Centre in Nambucca Heads or from the Council's Administration Centre in Macksville.
